Work Place Drug and Alcohol Screening.

We conduct work place or "point of care" Drug and Alcohol screening to meet and satisfy customer's requirements. Our trained and accredited personnel can conduct screening programs by either urine or oral collection. All our staff know the importance of being punctual for screening sessions, maintaining confidentiality in regard to all employees and providing managers and supervisors with timely and easily translated toxicology reports.

Assisting Customers with Policy Development.

Employers implementing a drug and alcohol programme are well aware of their duty of care for the safety and welfare of their employees, visitors and contractors in the workplace. A concise and informative Drug and Alcohol policy document is vital to satisfy all legal requirements and to support sound employee relations and work practices. First Choice Diagnostic Co provides customers with workable advice and guidance to ensure policy documents are easily understood and relevant to clients business. We provide clients with policy documents and templates that can be modified to meet their own company/employee requirements.

First Choice Diagnostic Technical consultant services are provided by Dr John Lewis.

Dr Lewis is highly qualified and experienced in the field of toxicology. His achievements include:

• Visiting Fellow National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, Sydney [current]
• Honorary Associate Faculty of Science, University of Technology [current]
• Former Head of Toxicology Unit at PaLMS Laboratory [to 2008]
•  Founder of Austox - Australia's quality assurance program for drugs of abuse testing [1981]
• Chairman of Standards Australia Committee AS/NZS 4308 [since 1993]Australian Representative to the International Association of Forensic Toxicologists [current]

Dr Lewis has presented evidence in a number of legal cases involving drugs of abuse and has acted for both companies and employees.

Dr Lewis is able to provide technical advice and assistance on customer's general or specific questions they may have about any drugs of abuse/alcohol and their implications in terms conducting screening programs in the workplace.

Induction Training.

We are able to organise induction training for managers/supervisors and employees in regard to the introduction of drug and alcohol screening programs in the work place.
