Who We Are

First Choice Diagnostic Co has been in operation since 1997 and was formed to provide on site Drug and Alcohol Screening at Coal Mines in the Hunter Valley region.

Today we continue to provide our services in the Hunter Valley region. The business has grown substantially however and we now have the capability to offer a national on site Drug and Alcohol screening service. Today we have customers in the following industries:

• Coal Mining
• Building and Quarrying
• Bus and Coach
• Road Transport
• Sports - 1st Division and Reserve grade players in the National Rugby League (NRL) Clubs

The staff at First Choice Diagnostic Co is a team of accredited collection personnel and specialist clinical nurses, with many years of training and experience in the medical/health industry. Our company goals are to provide a flexible working environment for the staff so that we can service our client's requirements during out of business hours, at competitive rates.

All work we do is carried out with the highest priority to maintaining strict confidentiality for all concerned. All staff adhere to strict guidelines, as set out by the Australian Standard (AS/NZS4308/2008 and AS 4760-2006). This ensures the sample integrity via the ‘chain of custody' procedure, is strictly followed for all samples sent to a National Standards Testing Laboratory for full toxicological analysis.

The technique used for urine and oral collection for the detection of drugs of abuse, is guaranteed to meet the requirements for an accurate and legally defensible result as per AS/NZS 4308/2008 and AS 4760-2006 Standard.
In addition, we are able to carry out Random Alcohol Breath testing using the various alcohol testing devices that may be available at the customer's site or by using our own accredited devices.
